I’m really excited today for the people who never stopped watching this team.
They maybe didn’t go to a ton of games, but they were always watching. They had other hobbies cared about other things, but they had a Wolves group message that pinged whenever Shabazz Muhammad would get hot. They maybe even just did it on their own, watched alone — late at night with JimPete and on Wolves twitter, after they put the kids down.
For those people, for a while, it was a weird hobby, but it was their hobby. They didn’t care, they weren’t gonna stop watching the Wolves — something about it, no matter how bad the team was, felt like a connection to something they liked before. That was worth holding onto.
I’m excited because now all of those people are in the same space — out there, naming it. And when they walk by each other and you kinda make eye contact, you know you have something in common, you’ve seen some shit. But you’re still here.
And even if you don’t say it, you’re both thinking it: “Naz Reid”
@ShahbazMKhan 100% agree. MULTIPLE guys had rough games.. to beat LA in LA after embarrassing them game 1 was already going to be a challenge. LA can’t feel great about that other than it was a win and evened it up.
9 point loss playing like ass. This isn’t surprising for this Wolves team.
Just in: Arbitrators have ruled Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez over Glen Taylor as the next majority ownership group of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Lore and Rodriguez told ESPN. The NBA’s Board of Governors now have to approve Lore and Rodriguez.
