While we still wait for an official cover reveal, a reminder that Scoring Godzilla: An Analysis of Akira Ifukube's Musical Narratives by Erik Homenick and published by McFarland and Company is available for pre-order at several leading retail outlets such as Barnes and Noble.
The first book of its kind in English, Scoring Godzilla explores the nationalist and anti-modern philosophies of Akira Ifukube and proposes how we may find these philosophies at play in his famous Godzilla scores, particularly his Godzilla score from 1954.
An exploration of Ifukube's artistry and his singular creative impact on Godzilla films, there has never been anything quite like Scoring Godzilla in the Western scholarship!
Stay tuned here for more details as they come available!

A special morning at First Church in Los Angeles.
Christoph Bull performed an organ version of Vide Cor Meum as part of his Oscar Sunday program — a tribute to the film industry.
It was particularly meaningful to hear the piece reimagined as an instrumental work for the first time, allowing the sound of the organ to carry the music in a completely new way.
Thank you, Christoph, for such a beautiful performance and for your continued support.

Scoring Godzilla: An Analysis of Akira Ifukube's Musical Narratives by Erik Homenick is now available on several sites for pre-order!
While we're still waiting for the book to go "live" on McFarland's (the publisher) website, it is already popping up for pre-order on sites like Barnes and Noble and Walmart. (It has yet to be listed on Amazon, but that's not far behind.)
The publication date shows February of next year. That is just a placeholder date; it's much more likely the book will be released this year. The publisher has to supply a "dummy" date in order for outlets to list the book. The official release date will be announced in due course.
Fans of Akira Ifukube and Godzilla music, here's the link to pre-order on Barnes and Noble: https://t.co/KiWNd7fk6i
