Spot on, and its not just Chelsea. Decision makers at clubs everywhere seem to be investing in revolving doors, demanding immediate success, and not looking at their own part in their repeatedly failures (or in many cases, when they simply fail to meet inflated expectations).
Chelsea managers sacked by Toad Boehly and Co
Thomas Tuchel: Dismissed for refusing to sign Cristiano Ronaldo. Now England manager at World Cup
Graham Potter: Sacked after taking Chelsea to quarter finals of Champions League. Now Sweden manager at World Cup
Frank Lampard: Interim manager, has just taken Coventry City to Premier League for first time since 2001.
Maurichio Pochettino: Sacked after arguing with Chelsea’s 263 Directors of Football and a 6th place finish. Now USA manager at World Cup.
Enzo Maresca: Sacked after winning Club World Cup, UEFA Conference League and top four finish. Currently enjoying his payoff and favourite to replace Pep if he leaves City this summer.
Liam Rosenior; Sacked after four months.
The common issue is that it’s Boehly (former Sporting Director of Soccerball at Chelsea) and Egbali making these decisions.
Perhaps, just perhaps, turning Chelsea into a hedge fund experiment isn’t a good idea. Who wants to be the footballing equivalent of Married at First Sight?

Fan-owned clubs often have difficult decisions to make, but @TheWellSociety showed how to use the power of their membership and their reach into the whole fanbase to engage fans on a common cause. They've followed up with a groundbreaking education programme 👏👏👏
‼️ In 2024, @MotherwellFC faced a defining moment as external investment threatened its fan ownership model.
📢🗳️ What followed was a David vs Goliath battle, & a powerful example of democratic action from @TheWellSociety. 1/2

Fantastic mini-series on the Ultras scene. An eye opener and should hopefully advance the conversation from over-simplifications and misunderstandings. Well done to everyone involved in making it.
There’s often a preconceived idea of what the ultras scene is, but for me it’s extremely nuanced.
I’ve seen first hand how it can tackle isolation, how being part of group can improve people’s wellbeing, and how as a collective you can drive positive change within communities.
Football is for the fans! ⚽️
We need to make sure football fans voices are represented at national and club level.
I was delighted to host a summit with @FalkirkfcSS, @ScotSupporters, @scottishfsa, @SuppDirectScot and others discuss how we make football fairer for all.
