A couple from Dovheni Village in Limpopo has turned rejected avocados into an award-winning business.

Husband-and-wife team Hulisani Mabugana and Hulisani Mudau, founders of Ecovado, have been named the winners of the Seeds of Change 2026 Enterprise Development Programme.

Instead of letting lower-grade avocados go to waste because they don't meet fresh-market standards, the couple transforms them into premium avocado oil and other value-added products, creating income, reducing food waste, and adding value to local agriculture

The first-ever Club Med Resort in South Africa - valued at R2.1 billion - is officially open👏🌊

The beach-bush resort combo, with its coastal Club Med hotel and Vikela Safari Lodge, officially opened its doors to guests over the weekend.

Construction began in early 2024, and I visited the site in December 2025 while they were in the final phases of development. Construction took a total of 28 months.

The beach resort offers:

• 310 superior rooms
• 35 deluxe rooms
• 66 suites

The 18 000-hectare big-5 safari lodge, situated in the private Mpilo Game Reserve, offers 80 rooms.

this is such a cool story... Union St Gilloise is one the most financially innovative clubs in modern football 🔥🔥

two years ago the club did something revolutionary, they raised €2.5m from fans at a 6% interest rate (crowd-lending)

fans could subscribe for as little as €100 & within 90 minutes they were fully subscribed!!

the fascinating part? this loan was actually secured against Bayern Leverkrusen's payment for Victor Boniface (who moved to Union)

essentially, this was fan funding backed by player collateral to secure attractive yields (4D chess)

the club then paid back the full amount to fans

today the Belgian league winners enjoy record breaking profits & sign stars like Rele Mofokeng
