Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal Mr. Shisir Khanal arrived in Beijing today on an official visit to the People’s Republic of China.
He was received at the airport by CdA a.i. of the Embassy Mrs. Roshan Khanal and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.
Warm welcome to Foreign Minister @shisir of Nepal for his first official visit to India.
Continuing with the tradition of regular high-level exchanges, the visit will help further strengthen the special partnership between India and Nepal.
Had a productive meeting with the Chairman of Nepal’s Rastriya Swatantra Party, Mr. @hamrorabi, to discuss strengthening the United States-Nepal partnership. The United States values its friendship with Nepal and remains committed to working together on shared priorities that support prosperity and opportunity for both our nations.

Ambassadors/Heads of Diplomatic Mission of European Union Member States resident in Kathmandu and New Delhi, as well as Ambassadors of some other countries resident in Kathmandu paid a joint courtesy call on Rt. Hon. Mr Balendra Shah, Prime Minister of Nepal, at his Office in Singhadurbar today.
Ambassadors/Heads of Mission of the United Arab Emirates, European Union, Finland, Norway, Myanmar, Australia, Russian Federation, Thailand, Sweden, Belgium, Portugal, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Estonia, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Greece, Denmark, Romania, Slovenia, Luxembourg, Austria, Slovakia, Brazil, Malaysia, Poland and Czech Republic were present for the call on.
The Ambassadors/Heads of Mission congratulated the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister and conveyed greetings and messages from their respective Heads of State/Government. They highlighted major areas of cooperation and expressed support and cooperation to the new Government in delivering results for the benefit of Nepali people.
Reiterating Nepal's balanced and pragmatic foreign policy, the Prime Minister underscored that Nepal's engagement with its neighbours, development partners and friendly countries is guided by the principles of mutual respect, sovereign equality and shared prosperity. He appreciated the continued goodwill and support extended to Nepal's development efforts and hoped for an enhanced level of cooperation in the days to come.
Highlighting the Government's resolve to ensure good governance and achieve inclusive economic prosperity, the Prime Minister stressed on benefiting from global markets, attracting greater investment through streamlined procedures, encouraging innovation and achieving sustainable development. He expressed the Government's eagerness to deepen partnership across key sectors, including trade, investment, green energy, climate action and tourism.
Foreign Minister Hon. Mr Shisir Khanal, Political Advisor to the Prime Minister Mr Asim Shah, Chief Secretary Mr Suman Raj Aryal, Foreign Secretary Mr Amrit Bahadur Rai and other senior Government officials were present on the occasion.

Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr Shisir Khanal @shisir held a telephone conversation today with H.H. Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud @FaisalbinFarhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the conversation, H. H. the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia congratulated the Hon. Foreign Minister Khanal and conveyed his commitment to working closely together in areas of mutual interest. Hon. Minister Khanal expressed his appreciation for the gracious message of congratulations and conveyed the sincere gratitude on behalf of the Government of Nepal to the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for ensuring the safety and security of Nepali nationals amid the ongoing conflict in the region. He also reaffirmed Nepal’s solidarity with the friendly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during this challenging period.
The two Ministers discussed the longstanding bilateral relations between Nepal and Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
They also discussed avenues for enhancing collaboration in trade, investment and other areas of mutual interest, including the promotion of Saudi private sector investment in Nepal, as the two countries prepare to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year.
