Every 24x7 banking service has a banker behind it and a family waiting at home. We agreed to the 5-day week in March 2024 and accepted longer weekday hours. The regulator, the insurer and the Government all work 5 days.
Our demand is just. The delay is not.

5-Day Banking is not a new demand. It is a commitment awaiting implementation.
The 8 March 2024 Joint Note recognised all Saturdays as holidays, with revised working hours to follow after Government notification. Bankers accepted the adjustment in working hours to make a 5-day week possible.
Since then, bankers have continued to deliver—serving customers, supporting financial inclusion and carrying growing responsibilities.
The agreement is on record. The workforce has done its part. Now, the implementation must follow.
Respect the commitment. Respect the workforce.

Inadequate staffing is putting immense pressure on bank employees, leading to severe stress and health issues. Five-day banking can provide much-needed relief, improve work-life balance, reduce stress, and enhance overall staff efficiency.

Who are the stake holders the govt wants to talk When the proposal was lying with it for last 2 years & Why it didn't not talk to them. Remember all the bank managements and RBI are in favour and justified the same So delay is deliberate and provoking .settle it
