Look who stopped by the office!
Great to chat with Hunter Beast (@cryptoquick, @SurmountSystems) and Theo Fields (@theobcvc) on the latest happenings in the quantum and crypto spaces!
You may recognize Hunter from his work on a certain Google paper that has been all the rage in crypto lately 👀
We are proud to have @SurmountSystems support @OPNEXT2026!
Surmount is dedicated to pioneering advancements in quantum security for Bitcoin.

Great news everyone! The BIP 360 workshop at @tabconf went very well today and we were able to demonstrate several working SLH-DSA transactions to Pay to Tapscript Hash addresses on our signet instance!

In true Silicon Valley fashion, PsiQuantum has evolved from converted office space to operating in national labs and tier-1 semiconductor fabs.
Our new Bay Area facility provides the controlled environment, space, and power our test and assembly teams need—enabling mass production of sub-assemblies and raw materials, and set to host our largest intermediate systems yet.
Published today: 2 papers showing major advancements in neutral atom quantum computing from the Lukin group at Harvard.
1) Continuous operation of a coherent, *3,000* qubit system.
2) An architecture for universal, fault-tolerant quantum computing
The prior SOTA was a 256-qubit machine from the same Harvard / QuEra team. 3000 qubits is a >10x leap.
On a smaller, 448-qubit machine, they perform 27-step circuits on logical qubits - taking a step beyond @Google's Willow work last December.
10M BTC addresses with a non-zero balance are quantum vulnerable, according to @projecteleven

Vacuum tubes → transistors → integrated circuits → microprocessors → today
In the 1950s, computers switched from vacuum tubes to transistors, becoming:
– 10× faster
– 50× smaller
– 50× cheaper
Just four years later, integrated circuits leveled things up again.
~13 years after that, microprocessors scaled it all down to a single chip, laying the foundation for modern computing.
⚛️ Quantum computing is now at that same vacuum-to-transistor stage -- paving the way toward a future we might not even be able to imagine.
Some will see the work that we're doing on BIP-360 as preventing an imaginary threat to an imaginary money.
Yet-- the $40 billion invested into quantum computing is a potential threat to a $2 trillion dollar asset.
