@FinPhilosopher IMO it isnโt worth the risk of having a claim over the next few years. Is your agent/agency captive or independent? Have you had a review to see about other options?
@camp_wealth I'm skeptical of a set number as it drastically changes with life events outside of creating a FAT-FI number that I couldn't really outspend.
@StIroningShirts No, aside from coastal areas or flood zone problem areas the cost of an average homeowners insurance policy is a pittance of the total amount lost in a claim. It isn't just the structure that is lost.
@Sensible_CPA @StIroningShirts However, IF you have excess reserves that could rebuild the property why wouldn't you pay the small amount for insurance and use the funds in a more efficient manner?
@The4DsinCO@prajna541@Chadmoneymatter@unusual_whales College tuition and living costs are out of control. Name the schools where these degrees are from. Even states schools are absurdly priced. I went to the University of Cincinnati and graduated (2010) with $93k in loans.
@AllenD@Chadmoneymatter @gagewhodey @unusual_whales I don't agree with it completely but most young adults do not have the mental capacity to understand the contracts that they are signing for these loans. Kids are pushed into it all and promised a great life as long as they sign on the dotted line.
@UncommonYield "Most people" can, but not everyone. If you are too late in life there is not enough time. For others, there is not enough money to put towards any investment at all. But for a vast majority of people, it is feasible.
Parris Moore was just a few weeks into his freshman year in high school, when he had to be taken to the hospital after school one day. The school claimed he had tripped and hit his head.
The school and the police tried to cover up what really happened to the teen.
