@EricHuxter@metoffice Hi Eric, looks like your replies have been blocked from the Met Office site.
If you were wondering why they didn't get any views.
I need the government to lock up criminals, defend the nation, build infrastructure, collect the bins, and a few other services - basic research etc. I’m not an anarchist or anything.
What I don’t need from the government is moral instruction. I don’t need them to tell me how to raise my kids. I don’t need them to nudge me into better dietary choices. I certainly don’t need them hamfistedly backdooring my devices to check I’m not doing anything they don’t like.
GTFO of my life, thank you. You’re not smarter than me, you aren’t qualified to manage me, please leave me alone.
THIS COMING FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, May 8th/9th, I am once again riding the annual "Duchenne Dash" – cycling from London to Paris in 24 hours to raise money for Duchenne UK.
The Dash began in 2013, happens every year – and I've ridden every one. This year, to mix it up a bit, I'm on a tandem, joined by one of my oldest friends, Serge Kogan, who has just flown in from California, at his own expense, to do this ride with me.
Today, straight from the plane, Serge travelled from Heathrow to Saffron Walden and headed out with me on "The Beast" - my trusty two-handed bicycle.
This is his first time on a tandem - and he is a little nervous about riding this machine 300km with me in 24 hours. It's a long way -and riding a tandem up hills (including the South Downs) is tough, given that you can't stand up on the pedals.
But we have a few rides pencilled in before Friday, and I'm sure he'll be OK ... if a little saddle-sore by the time we reach the French capital.
Please support this worthy cause if you can – every penny is gratefully received – and help the superb parent-run charity Duchenne UK continue to fund the development of treatments for a particularly nasty and fatal form of muscular dystrophy.

I had a house here for 28 years.
I was the Secretary on our local Resident’s Association.
For years we tried to block the Government and developers from ruining our Countryside.
We lost.
This will be the last memory we have before the land is covered in new housing.
Our Countryside, nature and natural lungs lost to greedy profiteers with no vision.

Rachel Reeves has been the Labour MP for Leeds West and Pudsey since 2010 and is currently Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Rachel has been a source of controversy and speculation in recent years regarding her claims and conduct. She was found to have rented her London home without a licence, to have inconsistencies on her CV regarding her banking career, and to have allegedly misled the public over financial issues.
Rachel is a member, officer and former vice chair in the lobby organisation Labour Friends of Israel. She was the ‘keynote speaker’ at LFI’s 2025 end of year luncheon at London’s Park Plaza Hotel.
Rachel was very much involved in the plots, coups and leadership bids that aimed to remove Jeremy Corbyn as leader of The Labour Party.
Rachel has received the following donations and perks:

@ShaymenHXFC@RedBlueAndy@TimboATFC@OfficialShots It's been raining here for about 2 weeks apart from one day, everything is absolutely soaked.
If it's raining again tomorrow morning like it's forecast I'll be amazed if the game is on.
