#wimbledon awful commentary on the Serena Williams v Maya Joint match. If McEnroe (and Austin) can’t get over their worship of Williams, someone else should have commentated. They had no words when Joint was wiping the floor with Williams but gushed at every ball the latter hit
@AidanNeal_UK@RoyalFamily Oh get a grip. JKR is a campaigner for women’s rights. Show me one occasion where she has “trans baited”. You won’t be able to.
@joannaccherry No. The UK, as a single sovereign state, voted to leave the EU. It’s nonsense to break the vote in the way you have. I am aware of many Scots voting Leave specifically to stop the SNP claiming remain votes as evidence of support for independence. You have proved the point.
It’s important to know that the social media ban for under 16s is not a ban for under 16s.
It is a ban on *selected* social media for EVERYONE. Until you identify yourself.
@GreenBhoy1967 Yes he is the First Minister but it is his hypocrisy that grates. Also Maree Toss, Stephen Flynn and Alison Thewliss should not be there while Parliament is still sitting.
@Dorriefraser1 Seriously? Leaving aside the marriage relationship, she was his boss! She was responsible for ensuring good governance. Instead, she actively prevented scrutiny of the accounts by the audit committee and treasurer. Whilst her husband stole from them.
@finlayson_vera@JohnRentoul Incorrect. Scotland and England were joined together to become a single country in 1707. That country became the UK when the kingdoms of GB and of Ireland were united in 1801. When most of Ireland became independent the name of the country changed in 1927.
@finlayson_vera@JohnRentoul Democracy is everything! On the one hand you are talking about an irreversible step to breakup a centuries old country and on the other a vote for a government for probably 5 years. They are very different things.
