A honey badger’s skin is approximately 6-8mm thick. So tough that most bee stings never even reach its blood. It didn't choose this, it evolved this way because its environment is a battlefield.

Look at the swarm. The bees are stinging his eyes, his ears, and his face. Any other animal would have run. But the badger doesn’t just endure the pain, he ignores it. To him, the taste of the gold in his mouth is more important than the sting on his face.

This is exactly how we live.

Every morning, the bees start buzzing. Fuel prices sting you at the pump. Inflation stings at the market. The grid stings you with darkness. It feels like the entire hive is angry at your progress. Wetin we do??

But that Honey in the badger’s mouth? That’s your family’s survival. That’s the rent. That’s the dream that keeps you awake at 2 AM.

We’ve developed a "thick skin" that isn't just a physical trait. It’s a mental fortress. We have learned to find sweetness in the middle of a swarm.

We don't wait for the bees to go away before we eat, because if you wait for this country to be "calm" before you hustle, you will starve in a quiet room.

The world looks at us and sees a struggle, but we look in the mirror and see a badger. We are the only people who can be covered in a thousand stings and still say, "The honey is sweet, sha."
