@stellacreasy ...and by women... you know she's a woman and not a trans activist because despite disagreeing with you, she's not threatening you. We all know what a woman is, even you.
@AndromedaAlyxx@RubyMouse3@JaneMactaggartL Thank goodness you were there. We can be so vulnerable and the system is not very good at recognising that. So important to be vigilant.
@TallulahTwizz@blablafishcakes@coccinellanovem To be fair, in a single-sex space, gaps can be a good feature. If someone collapses, the gaps allow them to be seen, they're also good for cleaning and airing. They become a problem when providers ignore the law and the wishes of the public/their customers. Great graphic here.
@BritIndianVoice Religious exceptions led us here. Time to end religious exceptions. Sikhs across the globe manage to be observant without carrying a blade; Italy, UAE, Denmark. Time to add UK to that list.
#BanTheKirpan
@AudreySuffolk@metaburbia Interesting. But didn't the sentencing take into account that there was no aggravating factor because the blade was his religious right? If he hadn't accepted the blades as religiously motivated then surely going out armed is an aggravating factor for sentencing? Isn't it?
@justcallmemaccy@jk_rowling@Cuddly_D@Redrorie@lumos JK Rowling has donated so much money, (millions of pounds) to women and children focused charities, that she's no longer a billionaire. And you're actually paid a salary to work in the field? That's not the flex you seem to think it is.
@garylfrancione He's a man who lies about his sex. He lies about his athletic advantage. He lies to gain advantage, to win cheap debating points and to create confusion. Did we expect him to be honest about anything?
@biologyinmed@treesey@BBCr4today@ForWomenScot If he believes in 'respect' for transpeople he'll have say how he'll accommodate transvestites/disphorics yet protect single-sex spaces. The obvious answer is on male wards, but there'll be significant opposition from troons and handmaidens. They can't all have private rooms.
@crxcked_@japnarsingh@EdwardHobden Mr Singh, so secure he calls me 'darling' then blocks me. Just another patronising, silly man pretending he's there for women.
@crxcked_@japnarsingh@EdwardHobden If Sikhs in the UAE, Denmark etc can manage, then the only reason British Sikhs think there's a problem is because this extremism has been tolerated. I'm against religious exceptionalism. Without it people are inventive. And they cope. Or move on.
@CDodson_Thatch@Gary1165@ikeijeh I'd apply the law that applies to me and everyone else, you stupid man. I'd stop giving religious dispensation. It breeds expectation in one element of society and resentment elsewhere.
@Gary1165@CDodson_Thatch@ikeijeh Should all lovely people flout the law on carrying bladed weapons, or just these lovely people? And should they be subject to other laws, or be able to flout British law at will? That's why we have laws. We're all subject to them, they keep us all safe. Nobody is above the law.
@DrCarlHindy@BevJacksonAuth@AustinCroweLuv@garylfrancione Not a money maker for the huge healthcare field? In what field of study is your doctorate? I'm guessing it's not Business or Finance. The trans-healthcare market is enormous. 'Trans' is a con. It's a small number of gender dysphorics and a huge number of fetishists.
@CDodson_Thatch@ikeijeh Many people have given service to our country and we didn't have to allow them to arm themselves with knives to do so. I'm grateful for anyone's service, but it shouldn't be at the expense of dispensation not to follow the law that applies to everyone else.
