If we agree that one of the purposes of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJL) is to decongest the Prison, I think the appropriate punishment for this would have been community service in line with the non-custodial provision of the ACJL.

They could have been made to clean courtrooms and other related places
or serve in the state's environmental agency for eight weeks without pay.

In this case, three months is too harsh.
