Ideas from professional & other communities of interest on the #Foundry site illustrate not only the breadth of potential for the lands but how a city building process should happen as an open partnership of interests that meet diverse needs while leveraging market participation
What needs to be true? The provonce's "consultation" to be authentic. The people are ready to have a proper consultation with all the parties at the table. #AffordableHousing#heritagematters
This scheme (with @KGreenbergTO and Joe Lobko) is plausible and beautiful. Heritage + well-detailed contemporary architecture + density. @FoundryFriends
Here's video of Premier Doug Ford's responses to my questions about the government's "agreement of sale and purchase" on the Dominion Foundries property. #onpoli#topoli https://t.co/HJJVPyK6dp
** News about the First Parliament site! **
I’m advised Metrolinx is NO longer expropriating the historical First Parliament site.
Provincial agency admits that letters sent to the City announcing intentions to expropriate at 271 Front St East & 25 Berkeley St were premature.
@SuzanneKavanagh@FoundryFriends@slnaspeaks Thank you Suzanne for making this possible by using the SLNA involved as the formal entity needed for the fundraising and injunction!

We worked hard. gaining strength. It's like reliving Bill 5 all over again. I'm betting rather than talk to the people they will appeal. This is not building community. I am still waiting for their the plan on affordable housing. I'm ready @FoundryFriends#affordablehousin
Some photos of the interiors of the newly-opened modular housing building at 321 Dovercourt. About 300 square feet per unit, 25% of units built to accessibility standards. Fridge, stovetop, microwave, twin bed come standard. https://t.co/ZR3s1lVkaO
My @TorontoStar column this week: Doug Ford’s government says they’re demolishing the heritage Foundry site because they just care so darn much about affordable housing.
Their track record on affordable housing tells a different story.

These plaques cost $6500 and community groups fundraise to have then installed to tell the story. This is "emergency" work. Where is the plan?. #wewontbackdown@SaveTheFoundry
So is it an emergency or not? Seriously stop jerking me around. Stop insulting me. You can't even communicate directly I need to get it from the media? @FoundryFriends
