Today our Walking Patrol met an amazing young man. Javen, a 1st generation college grad from Manchester handed out FREE homemade food at Veterans Park.
It is his 24th birthday and he wanted to give back to the community.
We were so impressed we thought we’d share!
I’m tired. My soul is tired. My heart is heavy. But I can’t stay quiet. That privilege isn’t afforded to me. All I can do is rest so I can get back up and fight another day. I fight for my brothers and sisters who can’t get up, who can’t fight, who can’t breathe. #GeorgeFloyd
My parents used to take me to Colorado in the summer. I’m reigniting his childhood passion by climbing mountains higher than I ever thought I could. Keep going.
Finally got some icicles in my beard! Got out for a 60 minute training run. These cardio workouts are aimed at improving my performance at higher altitudes on climbs. I’ve loved being in the mountains since I was a little kid.
Who I aim to become lies in the other side of a LOT of hard work. Great peace comes with setting a goal you’re not sure you can achieve, and achieving it. 🙏🏻✨🌲❄️👑🦁 Keep going.
Let’s be real though, I don’t want to become some fat-old-white-guy who talks about that one time he did something cool a long time ago. Fuck that guy. I don’t want to be him. I will not be him.
This is the beginning of the rest of my life.
Beginnings always hide themselves in ends.
Two months ago I was in the ICU at Park View Hospital, using a walker to get from the hospital bed to the bathroom (which I ok could barely do). It took three weeks to recover from the rattlesnake bite I got in Eastern Colorado.
@MikePosner always seems to drop new music when my life needs it most. Thank you for sharing your gift and taking us along on your journey. 🙏🏻💚#KeepGoing
