I see your profile picture. That’s Johnny Cash. My hero too. Arrested seven times. Smuggled 668 amphetamines across the Mexican border in 1965. Took every drug there was and drank like I did. Cheated on his first wife. Slept with more woman than I ever did. Hit bottom in a cave in Tennessee in 1968 trying to crawl off and die. And then he got up. He got clean. He spent the rest of his life singing for prisoners and addicts and the people the country threw away because he knew he was one of them.
That was the whole point of the Man in Black. He wore it for the poor and the beaten down. He wore it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime. He wore it for the ones who never heard a word of Jesus. He wore it for the addicted and the dying. He wore it as a standing witness that no one is past saving.
You picked his picture. You did not pick his message. Try listening to the words.
@MarkJCarney Oakville got a new hospital and it was pretty, but, at least when I went there, wasn’t very good in terms of care and services available. Lots of empty hallways. I far preferred going to other, older hospitals for care.
@hannahspierMD If nobody had listened to me when I was at my worst, not sure I would have gotten the treatment I did and more. My shots that control it cost $1400 a month and it took a long time to get the rx and authorization for insurance. Many specialists helped along the way.
@hannahspierMD I’d probably be inclined to believe that the stress that people with chronic symptoms experience, partly due to opinions like yours, could manifest a cascade of symptoms on top of the already existing symptoms. Stress can literally causes my immune system to disfigure me.
A young red fox on the side of the road looking for handouts. Sadly the tourists who fed them are gone now and this little guy will probably not make it over the winter as he does not know how to hunt for food. I wish people understood this before they feed wild animals.
This is my favourite magpie that I call ‘broken beak baby’. He must have had some fight or accident that altered the way his beak closes. Anyway, he has been coming to visit me for ~2 years now. He sings for food & he watches me through the windows. I can call him to my yard.
@AlanLevinovitz I don’t agree with some of your positions on this. That’s it. That doesn’t say anything bad about your character and that doesn’t say anything bad about my character. Communication & understanding can be wild even for people who know each other well.
@AlanLevinovitz Alan, I just saw this. I don’t know if your comment here is directed to me or what. I’m not “trawling” anything and I’ve already defended you numerous times when people accused you of bad faith.
