Nana votes blue. So does Rattlesnake Ed. My second go-round with the disapproving Irish great-grandmother looking on. I block fascists & racists & zealots.
@RossKneeDeep Aren’t most of them rich? Some tremendously rich? The problem is that the DNCC won’t look at a candidate who isn’t bringing $. I assume the Rs have the same problem. So the average American, wanting to do public service in politics, is doomed.
@ProudlyResistng @Mollyploofkins I was an introvert. In my own case, it was waiting on tables. I was almost too shy to ask people what they wanted, and rude customers paralyzed me. Then I tended bar and grew a carapace. Now I’m an old introvert, but I can engage when I have to.
@trom771 Campaigning on popular ideas and then keeping your promises is not bribery.
Taking money from fossil fuel companies and then letting them price gouge and kill the planet is bribery.
Taking money from the NRA to weaken our gun safety laws is bribery.
Jim Jordan's America: We’ll block everything that helps working class and poor Americans: Gas gouging laws, affordable healthcare, gun laws, women’s rights, minimum wage increases, Social Security, and Medicare. But we want to own the Libs, so vote for us!
@AmadorBatten Since no one can be certain that whatever god they jibber to actually exist, their insistence (raging, murderous insistence at times) that theirs is the right one, the only one, is pure ego. So all these truly hateful, revolting people are bound in ugliness. What a congregation!
Hit the 'Like' button if you agree with Congressman Jamie Raskin that Donald Trump has unleashed political forces who pose a "clear and present danger" to our country.
@waltb31 @WTKR3 I stopped watching it because it was nothing but scary Black male suspects (a scary white guy tossed in occasionally), thieves, marijauna in daycare centers, perverts on the prowl, more weed in daycare centers, slanted politicians who worry about crime and marijauna in daycare…
The fundamental problem with child care is it's irreconcilable as a capitalistic business model. Providers can't charge any less, families can't pay any more, and the workers are given starvation wages for stressful skilled labor. Public child care now. https://t.co/5Qx6n7rEfG
Wednesday was a really painful day for me as a journalist who is also severely disabled. The abject and unrepentant ableism of folks I thought I knew, as well as journalists who should know better, was frankly gutting. Losing followers over discussing it was also disheartening.
