Third Deputy Prime Minister Lukia Isanga Nakadama has announced upcoming reforms, including strict attendance management measures, to tackle persistent front-bench absenteeism in Parliament.
The move follows long-standing frustrations over ministers frequently missing plenary sittings, which has repeatedly stalled vital legislative business. To curb this, parliamentary leadership and the executive have introduced systemic shifts to track attendance and ensure government officials remain accountable.

At the Leaders’ Retreat in National Leadership Institute Kyankwanzi, I had the opportunity to learn from Maj. Gen. Sabiiti Muzeyi’s insightful presentation on “Consolidation of the Instruments and Sources of National Power: The Role of the 12th Parliament of Uganda.”
The session provided valuable perspectives on strengthening governance, enhancing coordination across state institutions, and advancing national development through effective legislative action.
May this special day be filled with joy, celebration, and reflection on the country's remarkable journey. Here's to a brighter future for all Ugandans! 🇺🇬 #UgandaIndependenceDay
I am in China to attend the Global Digital Trade Expo in Hangzhou.
This expo is a key platform for digital trade cooperation, particularly between China and Africa, through initiatives like "Africa Digital Trade Day" and "Five-in-One" services.
The expo promotes digital economy collaboration, global market connections, and economic recovery.
@stanbicug has still failed to take responsibility for paying out money to an unauthorised person over the counter neither has it given me any reasonable explanation as to how such a thing happened inside the bank or way forward.
@stanbicug is unable to identity a forged signature and all the other necessary due diligence before paying money over the counter. This account did not have a single history or a withdrawal over the counter but the bank was easily convinced to pay
@stanbicug has very weak check mechanisms of paying money over the counter to the extent that they do not scan the bar codes on national IDs to differentiate fake IDs, the bank does not use thumb prints and cannot even identify its clients from the photos we share with the bank
