the concept of Steven looking like an alien while not being an evil presence is so cool, theres something really sad about Connie of all people being the one to point out this differences, specially since it feels like it bothers her
honestly if toby made a dark crystal never-ending story-style movie about undertale i think it would unironically capture the goofy unique energy of undertale, like using puppets to depict the characters like in the dark crystal series with undertale would honestly be really cool
I remember asking "Why doesn't anyone other than Flowey, the Knight and Sans just create an unavoidable attack are they stupid or something" and then Chapter 5 came out and Seth studied the battle mechanics and meta for 2 hours and did exactly that (almost)
Hear me out, the main character should be a raging girlfailure wearing a "women want me fish fear me" hat who fumbles every fish she catches bc shes too captivated by them ☺️ call it "Floundering"
I'm reminded of a quote from Tolkien somewhere, speaking on Frodo's failure to destroy the ring
His response was that Frodo didn't "fail", he got the ring as far as he could, and was no more morally at fault for not finishing the job than if he'd been struck by lightning.
Boromir never wanted power for its own sake. He wanted it so that he might save his homeland from Sauron's invasion, a good and noble goal. And when he tries to take the ring from Frodo, and runs him off, he realizes within moments what he's done and is horrified.
Because at the end of the day the ring's power to corrupt isn't something that can truly be fought. It just Is. Sooner or later, from the purest Frodo to the lowest Smeagol, the ring steals everything noble in you and makes you a monster.
