Monsoon session of Parliament has ended with no meaningful debate, no bills of consequence passed. It appears the Opposition strategically chose disruption.

One could argue : the government has the numbers, so why not simply push bills without debate?
But that misses the whole point. As Vajpayee ji famously said once when in Opposition, “Aapke paas sankhya bal hai, hamare paas tark hai”

That line captured something important about the purpose of Opposition: not merely to outvote, but to out-argue, to hold the government accountable through reasoned dissent.

But this Opposition seems to have neither an argument to make nor any real intention. They just know theatrics, disruption and noise.
