Kara Lawson said, "Don’t give me the power to affect your self-esteem and who you are as a person."
"Don’t let me control whether you’re going to have a good day."
Confidence comes from within. Not from approval.
It's the feeling that you're capable.
You don’t have to be a captain or an upperclassman to be a leader. Any athlete, no matter their age or skill level, can find ways to lead and help their team!
It's HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT TIME! On the girls side games start at Oakton and Mount Vernon Friday, but tomorrow it's time for BOLT BALL at @LightridgeGBB!
Lots of good teams at this one, and really solid, underrated players/prospects. See you there! Story: https://t.co/jJjNsEwQVN
Parents, please let your kids compose & write their own texts or emails to college coaches. We love to have relationships with you, so reach out anytime. But allow them to find their voice & build their own relationships.
Before you commit to a school:

4. Read the student newspaper
5. Tour town around campus

Take care of your GPA...
...And your GPA will take care of you
There’s no such thing as a meaningless game. Every game, no matter the opponent or stakes, is an opportunity to test yourself, improve, and have fun. Ultimately, you get to decide how much meaning you put on a game.
The biggest myth abt coming off the bench as a player is the idea that you have to “make something happen.” Which for many=score points. Defend. Rebound. Set & use screens. Value the 🏀. Take open & great shots. Little things=BIG things and will earn you more minutes.
Freshmen STOP beating yourselves up. 🛑 While your coaches appreciate the commitment to getting it right, no one expects you to be instantly perfect at all the things you are now learning. Breathe! ❤️
