@medici_frank@AroundTheNFL Competition is important though. Maybe this will unlock something in Murray we haven’t seen yet, and if JJ is determined to get better and push himself and his development everyone should benefit.
This is how I feel about McCartht. I fear if the Vikings move on from McCarthy, he will continue to develop and mature and realize his potential elsewhere similar to a Rich Gannon or even Sam Darnold career arc. Somehow, someway, the Lions are gunna get McCarthy and win a SB
@TheJoeMarino@KyleCrabbs JJ McCarthy is closer than people realize to taking off. I believe that his offseason of work, having a fire lit under him by signing Kyler and drafting him his Michigan fullback are all going to unlock his potential and everything will click this year. Don’t write off 9
Gorilla appears to give an outdoor lecture to zoo visitors
A gorilla at the Los Angeles Zoo was photographed sitting in front of a crowd, creating a scene that looked less like a zoo exhibit and more like a university lecture being held outside on a sunny day.
@DailyNorseman McCarthy was treated like the class clown of his QB class (and has to mature quickly) and just by acknowledging that he is there to work and listen to the coaches is a step in the right direction. In a competition you don’t need to love who you are competing against. It’s go time
I remember when Simmons slid to pick 19 after tearing his ACL while training for the combine.
I also remember that recently the Vikings took Caleb Banks at pick 18 after breaking his foot during the pre-draft process.
Hopefully Banks becomes the next Simmons! #skol
Looks like the Mannings are setting up the PR chessboard to clear things up prior to Arch Manning entering the league.
They know the sports media world will be mentioning the Manning’s draft experiences but the narrative will now shift to Eli’s choice not the “family decision”
It’s a crime that we don’t get Jefferson more TD opportunities. I hope this year we make it up to him!! I need to see at LEAST 10 different variations of the griddy this year from JJettas #skol
Justin Jefferson has played 94 games in his career. Here's how he compares to Randy Moss's first 94 games.
Moss in 94 Games:
— 513 Rec
— 8,208 Yds
— 74 TDs
— 16.0 Yds/Rec
— 356 1st Downs
— 884 Targets
Jefferson in 94 Games:
— 579 Rec
— 8,480 Yds
— 42 TDs
— 14.6 Yds/Rec
— 373 1st Downs
— 871 Targets
And a reminder that the NFL passes the football about 13% more now than in Moss's heyday. About 430 more passing yards per team per season.
Here's the full path pick No. 198 took from being the Vikings' original sixth-round selection... to coming back to the Vikings at the time of the pick.
Some people just don’t understand the vision of drafting a mammoth sized game
wrecker who wears the number 88.
Caleb Banks is going to be a monster for us on defense!
His raw potential and natural ability is just waiting to be coached in the right direction.
