Here is my problem with their worries about the midterms and I say this as a Democrat running for Congress, our sons and daughters are getting killed now. Iranians are being killed. The University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index sits at its lowest level EVER, while the S&P 500 is at its all-time high.

By comparison, during the 1970s Great Inflation and the 2008 Financial Crisis, both stocks and consumer sentiment declined together.

This comes as the financial system is benefiting asset owners more than ever, while the average American faces persistent inflation, stagnant real wages, elevated housing costs, and a weakening job market.

The gap between Wall Street and Main Street has never been wider.
