Day 3 of International School of Bio hybrid interfaces, organic bio electronics and bio photonics at the Lake Como School! @Lil2410 @biochemist_hero@SwethaLin#biep
Congratulations to @HSalway who won a well-deserved medal at the STEM for Britain competition in parliament today. What a great place to present his PhD research and the impact it could have!
Did you know that Nobel Prizes had to be hidden from Nazis?
Dr. Ljiljana Fruk, lead academic on our #Bionanotechnology course, discusses how chemists saved these gold medals from Nazi troops: https://t.co/0qVxd92yID

If you are thinking about doing a PhD then I highly recommend that you check out the ReachSci programme developed by fellow CDT students which aims to improve access to research. As a first gen student this is exactly what I would have wanted before applying!
🧬@ReachSci is a free programme designed to help undergrads gain the skills, knowledge, and experience they need for Carter’s in STEM research and further education. Have a look on https://t.co/zVIQCUte2X and apply!
I wish the media would stop propagating terribly summarised scientific research. Vegan food was less varied/available at the time of the study (1993 - 2001) and can lead to calcium/vitamin deficiencies. Healthy, well-balanced vegan/veggie diets DO NOT lead to broken bones.
A new method to detect sub-100nm dielectric nanoparticles: ultra-near-field index modulated PlAsmonic NanO-apeRture lAbel-free iMAging (PANORAMA)... Would be interesting to try it out! https://t.co/0bVmQ650a6
Our @SensorCDT students are developing open sensor tech to help staff and students return to working in the department safely. @OccuCamb's occupancy algorithm has already been a huge help in our initial stages of opening; excited to see what comes next! https://t.co/BKJvLSPjDW
