@AndreasSteno Inter last year were worse completely outclassed, arsenal are just boring, sleepwalked to a premier league trophy with a good defence, strong set pieces and a bit of luck. Football has been crap for the most part this season.
@NCCtaxpayer I mean I don’t know the law or the complexities of such, I’m sure a jury and a second jury would have made the right decision in this case if it was there to make.
These guys are scum of the earth but we need to have some perspective, I like to see a lawyer weigh in on it tbh
@RmSalih Perhaps they didn’t, but they assaulted everyone else. The police officer should receive no recourse in that situation. These guys are fucking scum.
Well we don’t know the whole case, if they didn’t have enough proof to call them guilty then why should they? I think these guys are scum of the earth and deserve to go to jail for a long time but we can’t just send them to jail because we think they are scum (although that would be satisfying)
I think people need to calm down everyone’s so quick to lose their minds when infact these people are already in jail and staying there hopefully for a long time. Let’s hope they get the sentencing right 👍
@CPSUK Guys this literally says he is guilty and convicted of 3 counts, the two jury’s undecided is just for the final one. He’s going to jail and hopefully for a long fucking time.
Courts seem like they did their job to me 🤷♂️
I would prefer and would definitely vote for a more growth based economic plan and the levels of taxation (with more planned) mean I don’t know if I can vote for Labour again. Although the OBR has forecast borrowing to begin dropping with current plans over the next several years.
I’m reserving judgement until I have seen more, I think some policy is starting to take shape and have improvements - figures like immigration have always been cooked, this time they are just cooked and are genuinely lower - small boat crossings over last 2 months nearly half what they were last year.
I don’t see many thriving large European nations with the exception of perhaps Poland, maybe Spain (strong economically but insane immigration numbers) and the Scandinavian countries always look good but they always have.
I not naive to think things are great - I just think weighing up the options between all the majors parties at this point hardly means labour is a catastrophe. I run a business and the extra NI and wages has hurt a lot, but the hope is it translates into improvements for the country over time.
You are obviously knowledgeable and I think it’s better to debate like this than just say “Labour are FOOOOOOKED” do you know what I mean? Tribalism will get us no where - agree to disagree 🤝
Yeah but these issues exist with any party in charge, labours made some improvements in areas and definitely better than Tory’s - plus have more time to go to see how their policy pans out they haven’t been in government that long yet.
Immigration is actually down, not because of emigration I looked into that quite a bit because I didn’t believe it either
Welfare state is fucked but our overall welfare spending is still middle of the pack around Europe, other countries spend a lot more than us. We are not an isolated country having problems, a lot of these issues are multi national.
I guess the reason why I’m pushing back so much is I just really don’t understand why people hate labour that much. I’m not in love with them, but I don’t see what they are doing to attract the level of hate they are getting.
Also Farage is bought and paid for I wouldn’t ever want that cunt governing, Lowe seems more interesting to me.
BREAKING: Iran launches ballistic missile from Jam missile city in Iran's Bushehr Province a few minutes ago, followed by initial explosions in the Strait of Hormuz.
I ain’t die hard labour I’ll vote for whoever I think it’s best on the day, but it just doesn’t seem that bad to me. Starmers coming through a tricky patch looking stronger than before (immigration down, inflation down, GDP up), restore will likely eat a lot of the reform vote, Tory’s still complaining about the things they literally put into place whilst in government, greens are fucking mental. Fucked and in tatters just seems wrong to me mate 🤷♂️
@bobbybobbyrees@LadPolitics 🤷♂️
Memories not bad, certainly things I’m not happy with (especially as a business owner) but I think your statement is exaggerated. They’ve done some good, I could rarely say that about the Tory’s.
@jozefthemad@LadPolitics Paddy probably the outlier here, odds about 3/4 weeks had reform massive favourites. I think they will continue to fade as we get closer to a general election.
@TJ_3471@LadPolitics Or people realising reform and restore will eat each other the greens are fucking mental and the Tory’s are still complaining about all the things that they did in government.
Labours to lose imo
@bobbybobbyrees@LadPolitics Starmer has come back strong last few weeks, as someone that doesn’t stick with one party I have to say I’ve been impressed
