Vault Breaker is Marathon's first experimental PvE mode, set in Cryo Archive. Play as a crew, duo, or solo—no enemy players. Power up across runs with roguelite progression to overcome UESC hordes, vault security measures.... and even the Compiler.

We can't thank Joe enough for his leadership and contributions over the years. We've seen some questions about how things will go during this transition, and we wanted to call back to a post we made earlier this week:
Trust comes from being consistent - both in how we communicate and in whether players can actually feel the improvements we’re talking about.

We plan to maintain transparency through Marathon Dev Team accounts, and our goal is to keep the conversation flowing. Our next stop is the Mid-Season 2 update and Vault Breaker event early next week, but beyond that, we have a lot to talk about for Season 3 and the future of Marathon.

@vesseloftauceti I think I was just mad they touched my assassin 😂 I haven’t played solos in a bit so I haven’t seen a ton of them. I also always preferred to use if for slow repositioning rather than running at someone so I’m sure ill be fine.

Apex is way off the mark. Genuinely have no idea how Axle and Seer made it to live servers. Game is miserable to play. Might as well call it overwatch. Just an ability spam game. Terrible updates
