300 million tonnes of plastic waste produced each year.
8 million pieces of plastic entering our ocean each day.
1.1 million marine animals, turtles, and seabirds killed each year.
We are in an environmental crisis.
Plastic waste has increased each year, from products like water bottles, plastic bags, and protective packaging. We've been producing 300 million tonnes of plastic waste each year- nearly the weight of the entire human population. How will you help stop this?
"It’s young people, and it’s people of color, and it’s women who disproportionately care about environmental and climate issues, and are most supportive of stronger government policies to address them."—Dr. @ayanaeliza 💯 https://t.co/Pe9LQ9l2qU
I love this quote (and Harry Potter). I believe this represents the idea that we should be learning in an inclusive and cooperative environment! #EM203Robin
My EM203 course taught me that Moreno and Mayer believe a multi-modal teaching model is effective as long as the format of the information matches the modality used! #EM203Robin
While the use of digital resources can promote and enable multi-tasking, research doesn't support the act of multi-tasking in an academic setting. My #EM203course taught me this! #EM203Robin
@em203mdalgleish Do you think older generations better utilize the learning resources available on the internet, while younger generations primarily use it for entertainment?
Younger generations are often defined as tech savvy and constantly online, but my EM203 course has taught me that Canadian adults are some of the heaviest internet users out there! #EM203Robin
@EM203ClaireO I would argue they are just as active, if not more! I believe the main difference lies not in the frequency in which they use the platforms, but in the platforms they are using.
@EM203EWoods That's very interesting, Elliott! I can definitely think of some scenarios throughout my education where I wish this was better incorporated into the classroom.
