Let me tell you a fun fact.
While I was a student at Texas Tech University, the International Students’ Affairs advisor was a sweet Texan lady, Mrs. Hale.
She told me a story about this guy, Reza Pahlavi.
She said her late husband was a police officer stationed near Reza’s house when he lived in Lubbock, Texas.
I was shocked! I asked how he came to live here.
She said Reza’s father (the Shah) wanted him to attend an Air Force Academy, so they enrolled him at Reese Air Force Academy to become a lieutenant and graduate. Reese, which is now closed, used to be right outside of Lubbock.
“He lived here for a couple of years, leading up to the revolution, when he finally found an excuse to leave, and my husband was a policeman stationed by his house,” she said.
I asked why an excuse?
She said: He was a scaredy kitten, never even attempted the boot camp, was afraid of the army, never even tried. Then told me: all he did was throw parties, fool around, and indulge himself in a luxurious life like a celebrity wannabe.
Now this same dude wants to lead his imaginary guard of immortals as soon as the first city is liberated in Iran. That’s cute!
I welcome this; he should prepare himself! Go station in one of the neighboring states, call on his Persian numerous supporters who are currently making the streets of EU and NA unsafe for everyone to join him. Then he can use the wealth his family stole, raise an army, and launch an attack. All talks but no walks!
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Arab hypocrisy:
Many Arab monarchies publicly stated that the situation should not be pushed toward a military solution and that they would not allow their airspace to be used.
But when everything began, despite your repeated calls to the United States and Israel, did you condemn the U.S. and Israeli actions? Did you condemn the bombing of 170 schoolgirls?
I have heard that your countries—I believe even Bahrain—are planning to submit a resolution in the UN Security Council with language along the lines you just mentioned. It would condemn Iran's aggression without saying a word about the actions of the United States and Israel.
We call for a united front in favor of ending this war. Simply saying that Iran has no right to respond effectively means that you're encouraging the United States and Israel to continue. It defies logic.
