@_sunilrawat Amazon. Look past the noise and it's model has essentially locked in long-term returns that are circa 2x the average tech stock / VC / PE / ETF / whatever. Yes it has regulatory, anti-competitive, ethical and culture issues, but as a pure money-maker it has everyone else beat.

@mattturck Agree 100%. Counterpoint is that a lot of startups don't build up institutional knowledge and standard operating procedures, so are in perpetual fire-fighting mode for routine stuff. Often glamourised as agility - it's essentially just reinventing the wheel over and over again.

@_sunilrawat Hahaha! Agree. To be fair, I think half the big names in Silicon Valley who just automate offline processes / industries with an app or two-sided marketplace are also not really tech startups. What say?

@_sunilrawat Yeah yeah build a new world by paying me 2 and 20. I heard this story way back from Hedge Fund and PE guys as well. The only difference with VCs is the smart casual dress code. It costs way less and is far more fulfilling to set up your own syndicates with other angels.
