Researchers developed a new type of nasal spray vaccine that provided broad protection against several different respiratory viruses and bacteria, including SARS-CoV-2 and Staphylococcus aureus.
➡️ Instead of targeting just one germ, the vaccine trained the immune system to build strong, long-lasting memory T cells in the lungs. These immune cells helped the body respond faster and more effectively when exposed to infections.
➡️ The findings suggest the possibility of a future “universal” respiratory vaccine, though the results are currently limited to animal studies.

This achievement shows that elimination is possible with timely diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and access to maternal health services and a safe delivery.
