@chimeracoder@iamb They’ll still need a plex account, but it bypasses server selection, room name and password.
If they’ve logged in to SyncLounge before they’ll just need to choose a player
@elbieinwaterloo We don’t support Plex Home users unfortunately.
But more than one person can log in with the same Plex account.
By default it’ll show up as person, person (1), person (2) etc.
Each person can change their SyncLounge ‘nickname’ and it’ll display that instead.
@chimeracoder@iamb One note, once the room is created click the INVITE button to get a link which bypasses most of the setup flow - the people just need to select their player and they’ll be in :)
@ChowYungCat It is, but some people, like yourself, have reported that it doesn’t. Using Plex Media Player (https://t.co/kXhY1Y1vh8) is a good workaround
Missing your besties? SyncLounge lets you watch Plex content with friends/family, in sync, from anywhere. Yes, this means long distance movie nights!

@ragnareck 3. For optimal experience install your own copy of SL on your own network. In our tests we’ve gotten it to sync multiple clients very effectively.
@ragnareck Yes it can, with some points to keep in mind.
1. You’ll need to have a different browser window open with SL open for each of your Plex clients.
2. If you’re using https://t.co/dLZTvBMC9O there’s likely to be a very small variance in clients being in sync
@Mahou86 Chat is definitely something we’d love to do - we’re busy working on V2 which will see a number of improvements across the board. Once that’s rolled out we can look at new features :)
@SnaxxNZGaming The SL Player has no limitations, you can adjust the quality if you’re seeing incorrect playback.
Something to keep in mind, our player transcodes 100% of the time do it can be more demanding than using PMP or OpenPHT.
