Natan Obed, president of the Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, says the Conservative leader trivialized Inuit and everyone who lives in the Arctic with his "Santa Claus" social media quip criticizing Ottawa's plans to appoint an Arctic ambassador. https://t.co/jRsTdzAlL6

Just so we're clear. I could live comfortably on the interest from the interest of one year of returns on that kind of cash. Comfortably, for the rest of my life.
@kim_siever What I don’t see is mention of rural deliveries. Canada post is the only one who delivers everywhere. UPS, FedEx, won’t. P.O. Box forget it.
@ou812_Kess Years ago, before he was even party leader. I wish people would look at what he says and apply even a bit of time to check accuracy. Sadly it looks as though we will have a mini- Trump, no policy, catch phrase, rage farmer, as next PM.
@duncankinney@CFIB I think that’s after… 28 years of service, so hardly the norm but it should be for employees that long term.
Of course that rarely seen especially in the private sector as the norm is to lay off staff after 20 years service and replace with cheaper labor.
@elephantditrus@GeerlingMarian@maxfawcett … “We had a great chat about how Alberta is working to strengthen security on our shared border” …
As South Dakota doesn’t border Canada at all… they wouldn’t be involved in any border strengthening talks…. The conversation makes no sense, a waste of time.
@stein_mathisen@maxfawcett Fallen since 2020, and we are 6th of the G7. (TD economics Sept 2024) Government has grown by 2.3 percent. From 38.2 (2014) to 40.5% of GDP (Frazier institute April 2024)
@ZiadFazel@ABDanielleSmith Exactly… they shut down clean energy projects, expand the exclusion zones… complain the grid isn’t stable, and now want an extremely power hungry facility …
Additional irony in all the cuts to AI development by the UCP in 2019.
@gatec1@ABDanielleSmith She is, but in this case she’s just being deceptive.
Stopped April 2918, tossed out 2019
So hardly current or relevant

@LD_Ripp@robbfergusson ??? We don’t pay transfer payments.
Also… why is it always blame Quebec… and yet it’s what the UCP what to turn Alberta into.
Have our own pension plan (Like Quebec)
Have our own Provincial Police (Like Quebec)
If Quebec is so broken, why are we trying to become it?
@denisebatters Your appointment was partisan, nothing independent or thoughtful about your behavior. You bow to conservative party policies at the detriment of Canadians
The more MAGA they get the more obvious your behavior, do what’s best for Canadians and not the Conservative Party.
@dckurek You should perhaps look into how our government works. Senators aren’t elected.
And one of two is a life long conservative… so what’s you bitching about?
