@DominicRaab Joined our frontline ISVA's at SERICC (Thurrock Essex) Yesterday to discuss major steps towards the New Victims Law, as the government launches its consultation.
Victims of Sexual Violence & Abuse will be better heard, served and protected under these reforms.

We’re rolling out pre-recorded cross-examination for victims of rape and modern slavery to all Crown Courts across England & Wales.

This spares them the stress of going to court and I look forward to working with the judiciary, police and CPS on its careful rollout.

Synergy Essex were successful in applying to a data aid project back in 2020.

Data Aid will be holding an event on the 30th and 31st March 2022 – Synergy Essex anonymised data will be used during the event to answer questions posed by PHD students.

Rape crisis centres such as @Synergy_RCC are a lifeline for victims of sexual violence.

Our new support will spare them the stress of giving in-person testimony and require prosecutors to meet victims before making a charging decision.
