Does the local authority know if a tenant dies from chronic exposure to mould from poor social housing? Is that data even collected? Who is held accountable? If social determinants of health lead to death then we should list them on death certificates. https://t.co/jc5WIZxxea
“Israel’s 24-hour notice that people in Northern Gaza must leave their land, homes and hospitals is outrageous – this represents an attack on medical care and on humanity.
We have consistently seen dehumanising language and this violence is a manifestation of that.
Reporting today on biggest joint strike action between consultants & junior doctors, seeking 35% pay rise. Doctors tell me they are prepared to strike as long as it takes - months or years - but this action could stop immediately if Gov come round the table @BBCNews#bbcnews

The attacks on trans and non-binary people's healthcare from ministers are designed to:
1️⃣ ferment hate & fear
2️⃣ distract from #DoctorsStrike for #PayRestoration and shift discussion away from government #NHS failures, staff crisis and waiting lists
Striking and marching today with so many colleagues - nurses, cleaners, porters and more - on what should have been my first day as an ST2 doctor in obstetrics at Royal London Hospital. Sad it's come to this. Proud to stand together @BMA_JuniorDocs @unitetheunion@unisontheunion
On picket lines across England, junior doctors are today standing up for fair pay and the future of our profession. #DoctorsStrike
Watch @ERunswickBMA explain why 👇
Returning to work full time would cost me almost my entire salary in childcare. And for those who say "well you'll earn more in a few years"... does that mean I can not pay my mortgage, or buy food, for the next few years?

@BMA_JuniorDocs
For the avoidance of doubt, locumming on strike days is not ok.
It's selfish profiteering, while your colleagues forfeit their wages to fight for #fpr
The hospitals can easily find cover if they pay consultant BMA rates
Stick together, strike together, win together.

Today, a mother-of-three has been jailed for 28 months after using abortion pills to end her own pregnancy.
No woman can ever go through this again.
We need abortion law reform in Great Britain NOW.

A 🧵 of my life today as an OBGYN FY2, if you still don’t know how understaffed the NHS is…
1/
Today in our department we had 5 SHOs for the morning. We had 4 theatres, 4 wards and 2 triage areas to cover between us. Minimal staffing should be 9 SHOs. We were 4 below minimum.
Can we function without Nurses?
No.
Can anyone get a job as a nurse?
No.
Do we have enough nurses?
No.
Should we pay nurses fairly, retain staff and improving staffing levels.
Yes.
Retweet if you agree!

Today I posted my ballot and voted yes for junior doctor strike action.
Our pay has fallen 26% in 10 years.
I'm standing with my colleagues across the NHS calling for fair pay.

We see that @SteveBarclay has told @BBCR4today programme he is meeting with doctors later today.
Actually he cancelled the 9am meeting we agreed so he could do media, and a further meeting is not yet agreed.
Hopefully it will be soon.

We are absolutely appalled to learn that the Royal Society of Medicine - @RoySocMed - has refused to allow the word abortion in conference signs today because of “sensitivity.”
After last month’s deeply insulting pay announcement, today we've agreed to take steps towards balloting members in England for industrial action unless the Government commits to full #PayRestoration by the end of September https://t.co/cqvWqHldGv
