RIP Ka, rap's greatest minimalist, Brownsville's finest, inimitably dedicated himself to his city & craft. The master of quiet rage, writing zen koans with unremitting soul & passion. Pain, grief & wisdom in every bar. An artist as pure & real as anyone who ever spit cold facts.
@mrbasil_pesto I've got two episodes left of this season but had this same realisation that there's still so much the show needs to cover and I just want more of it. Really brilliant TV
@Dom_Pepin Check out music bars. I quite liked Bar Music in Shibuya and Spincoaster near Shinjuku (Spincoaster is a bit more expensive though). JBS (also in Shibuya) is also really cool but I didn't get chance to visit on my last trip
RIP the great Gena Rowlands, an actor and muse who left everything up on the screen. She perhaps more than anyone before removed the safety net of self-consciousness from acting. Her performances exist between a place of thrilling rawness and supreme precision.
look at these horrifying images, realise how close we came to public lynchings and remember that just five days ago local labour mp @SarahEdwardsTam publicly named this hotel in the commons - putting a giant target on it in the process. she clearly must resign.
@mubiuk Seems like the selection of cinemas has massively reduced over the weekend. None of the Picturehouse cinemas appear despite showing in other weeks
Yo design systems nerds - early bird tickets to @zeroheight's Converge conference ends this Thursday. Tickets will then go from £149 to £249. Better get yours now... https://t.co/AtrAEI9fim

Its right to be wary of Figma introducing AI tools and how they might affect the future career stability of designers - especially as they expand their product offering and pricing to be less reliant on designer users
expecting AI to deal with every aspect of human complexity (behaviour, taste, subjectivity) for us so corporations can accumulate more wealth will bring nothing but horror
this is despicable, but it's made to look like something designers want, so everyone will fall for it 🤪
@SamuelWRoberts Yeah my nearest cinema is a Picturehouse and it's lovely - but noticing that it's often very quiet unless its a preview screening or a really big film
