I'm back on X, time for an #Introduction post. I don't think I have ever posted one on here, only ever on some alternative social media sites when I had left.

My name is Nathan. I (what feels like) recently became a dad (she is already 2 years old! 🤯). I enjoy playing games, whether they be video, tabletop, virtual, or otherwise. Some of my favorite genres include RPGs, 3rd person action games, deck builders, strategy, and more. As for the video games, I have been playing on #PC / #Steam Deck, #PS5, some titles on #Switch.

I work in IT, but also help out with graphic design work for the company (trying to get out of this part of the job and get back to more of the IT part of it).

I like tech. I use #Android #iOS #Windows #Linux and #MacOS.

I am a #T1D, that is I have #Type1Diabetes. It sucks and I do not recommend it. Luckily there is a bunch of tech out there that helps me manage it nowadays.

So yeah, a combination of all that stuff and more is what you can expect from my posts.

@LeakerApple I use automations to turn it off in apps where color accuracy matters to me. I like it most of the time, but apps where I primarily view and/or edit photos and videos I have it automatically turn off.

It’s WWDC time again and I am remembering all the years I listened to @Downtime_cast with @melvco and @SebastienPage. I still miss that podcast. As far as I can tell they have both kinda gone off grid / disappeared. Hope they are both okay.

@SnazzyLabs I think its supposed to be showing layers and making adjustments to the bottom layer, but it just doesn't work when you zoom out and look at it as an icon.

I've discussed this previously. Games used to require you to have an imagination to fill in the gaps. You couldn't see every pore, or hair strand. The player had to use their mind to fulfil the experience. That's gone now. Now the fidelity is so high, you are just a passenger.

@G27Status ... in other words, there is a HIGH chance this gets canceled, just like every other modern good Star Wars game idea. It's hard to stay positive about these announcements when no one is proving us wrong.

This was probably the best game awards ever. There weren't any moments were it felt like a giant ad and the rewards felt like they were highlighted well alongside the game reveals.

Apart from the actual awards, this was my favorite Keighley show of all time. Fantastic pacing and GREAT reveals! Can't wait to play of all these.
