Just watched Denial Smith demand that Steven Guilbeault be removed for his "imperious" attitude.
That's pretty rich coming from someone who literally brought in a "Sovereignty Act" and thought she had power to pardon criminals.
Delusional rules here in Alberta...
We haven’t ever done this before… but we encourage you to watch the Q&A from the Alberta Government’s pension presser this morning. We think it’s important that Albertans see this for themselves.
If they can't even answer reporter's pension questions, how are regular Albertans supposed to get clear information?

Last night the UCP abruptly ended the fall session of the Alberta Legislature.
Through the entire session, the UCP spent less than 8 hours debating their bill to gamble away Albertans’ pensions.
They spent 4.5 hours debating a bill allowing them to receive bigger gifts.

Hey Alberta!!
While Danielle is gaslighting the hell out of COP28, here at home we’re down to 4…FOUR…ICU hospital beds for our entire province!
We’ve been made aware of a letter saying cuts are coming to AHS!
NOTHING TO SEE HERE
The UCP just held a news conference and nothing has changed.
No in-person town halls.
No clear answers on what they will do with your money.
No binding referendum.
This is a disaster.
Your pension is yours.
This is your retirement security. It's your money, you've worked your whole life for this.
.@ABDanielleSmith and UCP in the spirit of Christmas passed today a law that allows Alberta MLAs to receive more expensive gifts from supporters and lobbyists.
I wonder how families relying on Santas Anonymous to provide their children one basic gift feel about this…

Appalling. The Government House Leader is ending debate on taking your CPP away. This is it. They won’t listen to Albertans and now they’re shutting us down.
It’s not right.
Here is just a part of Danielle Smith’s Alberta 100 person field trip entourage to Dubai. Even her husband managed to join the taxpayer funded luxurious trip. After all, diner owner experience is critical to fight for plastic straws at a climate conference.

You should really, really read this thread.
The UCP may have changed their tactics, but the war on physicians in Alberta is very clearly still very much on.

Again, so many things @ABDanielleSmith got wrong
1. How insulting is it to say that NPs can't even agree amongst themselves how their training compares to a Family Doctor? She certainly doesn't give us any confidence in the NP program to do primary care

Alberta, we are not on the cusp of an energy transition; we are living it. The US is eating our lunch. This is not a right vs left conversation.
This is about leadership and capturing the next frontiers of the energy economy while addressing climate change.

Alberta NDP Leader Rachel Notley issued the following statement in response to the release of the Public Health Emergencies Governance Review Report:
“I am incredibly concerned about some of the recommendations included in the Public Health Emergencies Governance Review Report released by the UCP earlier today.
“This report marks a clear deviation from scientific integrity and rational public policy, suggesting that conspiracy theories and pseudo-science be given the same legitimacy as evidence-based medical treatment. This is not only irresponsible but also incredibly dangerous.
“The report’s recommendations pave the way for fringe extremists, like David Parker and Artur Pawlowski, to have control over the health and safety of Albertans. By undermining the expertise of dedicated experts, health professionals, and frontline workers, the UCP is failing Albertans all over again. Albertans deserve a government focused on their priorities, one that upholds integrity, honesty, and a commitment to making evidence-based decisions, which include those that impact medical care.
“Recommending that ‘alternative scientific narratives,’ such as Danielle Smith’s promotion of a horse dewormer for treating COVID-19, will undoubtedly harm Albertans. Such an approach to public health undermines the hard work and dedication of our healthcare professionals.
“Over the last four years, this government has threatened to roll back wages, picked fights with our doctors, and failed, time and time again, to prioritize the needs and well-being of frontline workers. Danielle Smith even accused them of undermining the health system during the pandemic.
“Healthcare in Alberta is not the only public service that has experienced detrimental impacts due to the decisions of the UCP. Public education, and more importantly, children across this province, also suffered as a result of this government’s cuts to education funding and failure to respond to the pandemic with proper resources and planning for schools. The UCP failed to provide the resources needed to keep our schools safe, including firing 10,000 educational assistants on a whim, and have yet to make any meaningful effort to address overcrowded classrooms and crumbling infrastructure that is negatively impacting students, parents, and educators across the province.
“The Alberta NDP is committed to protecting public healthcare in this province and will continue to focus on addressing the critical challenges within our healthcare system and building the robust, accessible healthcare system Albertans deserve.”
On this day 82 years ago, the greatest female character to ever exist made her debut! Happy anniversary to the irreplaceable Wonder Woman!

Newsflash: it’s already happened - starting when the UCP removed the NDPs cap in utilities. And now the UCPs ban on renewable energy (the cheapest form of energy) will make the problem even worse.
The @Alberta_UCP & @ABDanielleSmith hid a report contracted in 2019 by Travis Toews, Minister of Finance, because it did not suit their purposes. That report was exposed today by @TheBreakdownAB and is a far cry from the fairy tale that Smith would have us believe.

Remember—
Danielle Smith, May 2023: “No one is touching anybody’s pension.”
Would she be premier now without having said that?
This government was elected on a BIG lie about one of the most controversial election issues.

Danielle Smith: “No one is touching anybody’s pension.”
Also Danielle Smith: Touches your pension.
Premier, let’s talk about YOUR record. Because you've blatantly lied to Albertans during the election campaign.
