Kinda sad that Taylor has had to fight for her reputation at every stage in her career just because the world can't handle a powerful woman... She comes out on top every time, but there's always some sexist remark that pops up to degrade her once again... #respecttaylorswift
Hey Ginny & Georgia, 2010 called and it wants its lazy, deeply sexist joke back. How about we stop degrading hard working women by defining this horse shit as FuNnY. Also, @netflix after Miss Americana this outfit doesn’t look cute on you 💔 Happy Women’s History Month I guess
@richardblogger Exactly. I feel like I've lost my footing since my appointment and now I'm not sure what anyone expects. I lowered my a1c (yay) . Then now what? Increase it again to then lower it? Idk it's such a strange feeling getting to this level...
I realised that my motivation to 'try' with my Diabetes stemmed from needing to improve... Now I've reached the perfect a1c and have been advised not to lower it much more; I can't seem to find the will to keep trying? I reached the point I needed to be, so what's the next step?
@PeterDonn973 I don't know bs I was told to aim for 48-59mmol/mol. I was aiming for a 50, but got a 43. I believe mid 30s is considered 'safe', but for me, I think I'm already at the point where I'm happy, I'm just struggling to find the will to keep it there bc there's nothing to 'improve'
Oh and BTW, I lowered my HbA1c from 127mmol (13.8%) to 43mmol (6.1%) in less than 2 years WHILST combating Diabulimia / Disordered Eating and low Mental Health, so I'm panicking about a relapse if I don't find something to hyperfocus on in my Diabetes Care...
I know logically the next step is to keep my a1c at this level, but the fact there isn't an imminent "oh my gosh congratulations you did it" along with it its really killing my motivation. I always strive for change and look towards a goal, but without a fresh goal - I'm stuck
Hey guys so who’s gonna tell 18 year old me that our love story would still be going strong all these years later? 🥺 Thanks for the ways you fill my life with love 24/7, every damn day. Happy Valentines Day 💛 💛
I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed their Diabetes support change as they go through phases of burnout or other mental health challenges? I keep thinking about how the support I get now as a 'healthier' patient would have been so beneficial to me in my Diabulimia days
Since I stopped tweeting, my a1c has gone from 120mmol (13.1%) to 61mmol (7.1%). Next week I have my annual review which means an updated hba1c level. My dexcom is predicting it at 48mmol (6.5%)
The care I have receive as a 'healthier' / 'more involved' patient is way more detailed and patient oriented than the care I experienced in the dark times of my Diabetes.
