LIL DURK MORNING UPDATE:
Brian Steel continued his cross examination of Jam, also Kacey Hester. Steel asked Hester about being in contact with Kavon Grant despite having a separation order against him. Hester testified he never had the order explained to him. Hester testified that he never spoke with Grant about the case, and didn’t know Grant was cooperating.
Hester told Steel to pull up the messages and they would prove it. Steel HAD THE MESSAGES, and asked to show them to the court. There was a big objection from the prosecution, but Steel was ultimately allowed to show the court the messages.
Hester was in communication with a woman who also was in communication with Grant.
Phone call: 7/24/2025 Hester:
“Tell cuz that he need to tell his lawyer to make sure that he don’t have a KS (Keep Seperatw) on me that way we can be around each other. Tell him that … ain’t no type of bad blood.”
Email: 8/3/2025 From Grant through a woman in contact with Hester:
“I talked to my lawyer about the separation thing. He said he can ask the AUSA but it’s nothing on my end or my lawyer and, the ausa got the order on everybody, but I asked him since we both already played guilty. Will they change it, he said he’ll let me know this week! Pick a time to call so we can jump on the line!”

Phone call to Grant:
“Hey Jam said you gotta watch who you talking to now and you should have treated the shit out that bitch fat fat”
Brian Steel asked Hester why he would want to be in contact with someone who orchestrated a murder, referring to Grant, and describing how Grant burned evidence, booked flights, and organized the manhunt.
This is what Hester said in response:
“it’s not his fault, it’s Durk’s fault. Durk put us in this situation.”
“He wasn’t the mastermind … he was following orders.”
Steel asked if Hester believed the murder of Saviay’a Robinson was his own fault.
“Yeah, I voiced that.”
Hester maintained that all communication with Grant was in an attempt to relocate to Grant’s facility because he was not happy with the facility he was at. Hester testified that it was not to be “close” to Grant.
Akademiks gives an impassioned speech and says that if you really love Lil Durk and care about his well-being, you have to accept that if he gets out, he will not be rapping about the same shit or taking that new lease on life for granted
RIP, Peter.
Our team teared up hearing you record as Thaedus the first time, and our eyes are misty again now.
You’ll ALWAYS have a coalition of fans in us.
Rest easy, friend.
🚨 BRIAN STEEL IS NOT LETTING UP ON OTF JAM.
Jam brought up wanting to finally be a father to his son after spending years in prison.
Steel just hit him with: “You had the opportunity to be with your son. Instead you were holding a gun to someone you don’t know.”
Steel is going straight after Jam’s credibility and the way he’s portraying himself to this jury. 😭🔥
Brian Steel going HARD on Jam. Played a recording of him being interviewed saying he was never told by Durk there was a bounty on Quando and Tim. Asked why he lied and Jam said there’s more to it than that. Steel clapped back: there’s always more to it with you.
