Southwest Link buses run between Bankstown and Sydenham.

T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line trains run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park.

Capacity exists for 4 more trains per hour from Lidcombe to Circular Quay via Inner West Line but Transport for NSW is determined to force commuters to interchange at Lidcombe instead of restoring the Bankstown to City via Regents Park train

Capacity exists for up to 6 direct trains per hour between Bankstown and Liverpool but Transport for NSW refuses to run such services alongside the Inner West Line (Liverpool via Regents Park)
