@edwin_mccallum@Chesschick01 Sadly I can’t trust NYT/WSJ, they’ve been caught bending the truth too much and have their own agenda. you’re assuming too much to have such strong opinions. My whole point is, out of all the problems, Elon being wealthy is way down the list. Let’s work together on what matters🙏🏼
@edwin_mccallum@Chesschick01 Thanks for sharing, this is horrible, no other way around it. Seems to be a good amount of speculation but either way, even if a small perfentage is true, it’s not good.
@edwin_mccallum@Chesschick01 Kamala had more donation money than Trump man. Elections have been bought in this country since its inception. Would be lovely to have that not be the case though.
@edwin_mccallum@Chesschick01 What elections aren’t bought? He was a Democrat until they told him to F off. Millions of deaths? Sounds like propaganda to me. BTW You seem like an intelligent person with great intentions honestly. We probably want the same things just have different opinions on how to get ther
@edwin_mccallum@Chesschick01 But they did. The employees who work at his companies must want to work in that environment, otherwise they wouldn’t be there. This conversation should be less about Elon and more about blind hatred, you’ve clearly spent a lot of your time and energy focused on one man negatively
@edwin_mccallum@Chesschick01 It sounds like your bias is blinding you from this progress, something to think about. You think he’s in it for the stock price or money? Why does he work absurd hours still? Where are his many houses? Where is his yacht? He’s a trillionaire so why not buy an island and retire?
@edwin_mccallum@Chesschick01 Without Tesla would solar be where it is today? Would we have EV’s? People are so hell bent on hating Musk they forget they should thank him for the technology he’s brought to the world. It’s good to be critical, but at some point you go too far and are a burden to society.
@edwin_mccallum@Chesschick01 Those same people said Tesla was going to fail and spaceX was a joke. Elon has abused goals but that’s how he achieves them. Pessimist sound smart but optimists actually achieve. Data centers and solar in space would be a huge boost for humans, you should be rooting for it.
@evanlevin3@jaytime07@the_jefferymead@tobytarrant@grok There are other ways to solve world hunger. Starlink gives internet access to millions, these millions now have a way to learn, to build skills, to make money they couldn’t before. This helps, but it’s not “giving to charity” so it’s ignored or looked down upon.
@evanlevin3@WilliamtheCQR62@the_jefferymead@tobytarrant@grok A good example of why we should be open minded and hold strong opinions loosely. We are wasting our time talking about Elon giving this or another billionaire giving that. $1T would last the governemnt 52 days. Thats the problem. Let’s focus on spending the $7T more wisely.
@alc2022 Antonio, check out Bittensor bittensor:native open source decentralized AI. It’s the answer to gov controlled closed sourced models. Think you’d love a deep dive on it.
@edwin_mccallum@Chesschick01 Agreed, should only be public funding and accountability should always be the standard. He’s an easy target to put all the blame on though, a lot is deserved, but let’s see if we still have all these problems once he’s gone. My guess is we will, hence a systematic problem.
@edwin_mccallum@Chesschick01 Who are these “technical people”? There’s no atmosphere and it’s 24/7/365 sun… And the solar as an industry is down big, it’s not just Tesla.
