TALK is always working to figure out how to best serve our community- after consulting with our callers, we have decided to change our hours of operation from 7pm-3am to 6pm-2am every night. This change will come into effect beginning January 1st, 2021.

Talk is continuing to celebrate pride month and all members of the LGBTQ+ community! Unfortunately, many people may feel unwelcome, unsafe or unheard at some point in their life due to their sexual or gender identity (1/2)
So many people are suffering right now. Many are feeling justifiably angry, heartbroken, frustrated, scared, exhausted, and a wide range of other emotions. We would like to remind anyone feeling this way that we are here for you if you ever want to talk.
During social distancing, many of us may be living in close quarters with others. It is important at this time to remember to set emotional and physical personal boundaries for ourselves. Here are some tips on how to do that!

Especially in times like these, when we are surrounded with news of others who are suffering, it can be easy to diminish our own struggles by comparison. This is your reminder that no matter what your situation is, your emotions are valid and you are allowed to acknowledge them!
Categories such as race, gender, sexuality, and economic status can influence access to opportunities. However, none of these categories exist alone, making it important to recognize how their overlap leads to advantages or disadvantages throughout a person’s life.
It's natural to feel worried about the state of the world and it's okay if you're not as productive as you usually are. It's a challenging time, so do what you can to take care of yourself. Here are some reminders:
