@MathsNot You remind me of my SW London days. First, number plates on Cheyne Walk, now the 37 bus. A new colleague from Manchester once arrived in a Putney pub gobsmacked that he'd seen a bus to Peckham: "It's actually a place," he exclaimed, thinking it was Del Boy's fictional home.
@HT_Coughlin Have a good time next Saturday. I couldn't work out at first why you were "running home alone!" π€ .... now I've got it - get well soon over half term.
@nsandihelp auto phone bot says, "I will transfer you to someone who can help," then hangs up on me. Happened three times now. Can you tech team check it is working as it should. At the moment I can't speak to anyone!! Thanks.
@BBCsarahsmith You said how hard it is to sing the anthem in tune - I was reminded of a moment, a few years back when the Ibstock Place School choir, on tour in DC from South West London, spontaneously sang a beautiful acapella rendition by the remnant of that flag! Tweeted by a tourist!
Some introduction to senior football! π
Sixteen-year-old striker Jack Griffin scored off the bench on his @GuernseyFC debut as they started the @IsthmianLeague season with a 3-1 win at Footes Lane π₯
What a start for him and the Green Lions π
@mdawesmdawes@edsouthall Now, in this image, why is there x4 by the teacher's elbow and not +4? I may be missing something (and will no doubt be corrected ....), but I would be adding 4 to both sides to get a perfect square. Maybe these youngsters are being asked to find mistakes in the working?
Full time at Footes Lanes with a 5-2 victory for our 1st XI.
Looking forward to seeing them again in action at 3pm tomorrow and our 2nd XI at 11am both at Footes Lane π
Such sad news ..... no more wonderful historical novels to come from Hilary Mantel's pen ... I'll just have to make this one last and savour every word in honour of her greatness.
