Ted Cruz: "When Mamdani says he wants to seize the means of production, he means it."

@86Tayler@hasanthehun You don't need to read into a statement and go "oh you want communism" when you can literally just regulate an industry to counter greed, because an industry left to itself will inevitably just try to make as much profit as possible
@86Tayler@hasanthehun Why did they fire everyone? Profit incentive. Why did the CEO get a raise? For firing everyone and increasing share value and profit for shareholders. Nowhere did anyone say communism. Just pointed out how money ruins shit like this
@RuariMartin@MaxBlumenthal No it's not, we don't scan phones at airports, at least nowhere near on the scale of the US who does it to everyone they suspect of having the wrong thoughts
@AndrewWoodman I think if you ask this question during times of financial difficulties and during times of relative comfort you will get drastically different results
@QudsNen One thing I noticed in the semi final, which may just be me reading into it too much, is when water bottles are handed out he takes one, looks at it, sees that it is Smart Water, owned by the Coke company, and hands it back with a look of distaste without opening it
@null_nullspace @hasanthehun Do you believe in rehabilitation or nah? If you're right and people can't change and make a good difference in the world after being a bad person why don't we give all vets the death penalty? Famously vets often enlist young and regret later
@VividThoughts_1@PolitlcsUK One game suspension does make sense, two doesn't. Without one, anyone would gamble to take a red card in the last ten minutes of a game if it meant stopping a goal (obviously scenarios differ), so the punishment needs to disincentivise that. Two games is too much though
@null_nullspace @hasanthehun Put the date in your screenshot. And if you have to ask me when the answer is obviously a gamer who is (unfortunately as of late) British, then that's sad. It was chosen many moons ago in a poor decision. I'm not judging your username lol
So many people in the replies going "but you defended Platner". Yeah, against nazi accusations because besides the tattoo there is zero evidence in that direction. Hasan admitted there were red flags, hence not wanting to work with him, but this SA issue has just come to light
@_britmonkey "I would fight and die for my tribe". Is this supposed to refer to my country or people with similar views to me, or simply close friends?
@_britmonkey Another question I found a bit tricky: I think we need to protect the environment, but that we can just transition to nuclear and renewables instead of reducing energy usage. Answering agree because I think the vibe is just eco v energy usage
