@elegationvain The other tendency is young pre-everything mascs in women's clothing, with a woman's haircut, and a full face of women's makeup (not guyliner), asking if they pass/what they need to do to pass. Like, young gentlemen, just TRY.
@uncanny_eli@nonstopbrocock This seems taboo in the current discourse, but we are all shaped by our lived experiences, sometimes in unpredictable ways, and I doubt it's a coincidence that people assigned female are the ones framed as weak vessels, easily led, w/ no ontological reality.
@elegationvain I suspect it hinges on who is still in the workforce, their relative earnings, and who benefits more from communal living. Who is moving in w/ whom? Is this happening so the 'rents can afford to retire? or is it because the young family is losing their home? for ex.
@melcodez@AGallagherAlly Very possibly. I also suspect they know full well trans women are not really men, and that's why they see them as a softer target than actual men, whom they hate/fear/worship.
The only "trad" concept I fully respect is the "man of the world" archetype. In old literature, a remarkable man was interested in the arts, music, dance, writing, fashion, physicality, speaking, flirting, etc. Having a broad palate for life. A taste for and love of many things.
