@uncanny_eli @nonstopbrocock This seems taboo in the current discourse, but we are all shaped by our lived experiences, sometimes in unpredictable ways, and I doubt it's a coincidence that people assigned female are the ones framed as weak vessels, easily led, w/ no ontological reality.

@elegationvain I suspect it hinges on who is still in the workforce, their relative earnings, and who benefits more from communal living. Who is moving in w/ whom? Is this happening so the 'rents can afford to retire? or is it because the young family is losing their home? for ex.

The only "trad" concept I fully respect is the "man of the world" archetype. In old literature, a remarkable man was interested in the arts, music, dance, writing, fashion, physicality, speaking, flirting, etc. Having a broad palate for life. A taste for and love of many things.
