Gonna relay what I was told last series w a Spurs WCF future (I’m a Knicks fan so being unbiased)

Although I think the Knicks are going to win, hedging is inherently -EV

You have to ask yourself what was the goal of this bet when you placed it?

Additionally, is this money life changing enough that it’s worth the hedge?

I personally like hedging, I prefer the guaranteed in a realm where nothing is guaranteed.

However, at the end of the day, it’s your ticket, and it’s your decision. If you want the guaranteed, there are plenty of hedge calculators that can help you net max profit.

If you think the Spurs win tonight, you could sweat the game, and then hedge after the fact if the Spurs do indeed win game 1.

It’s all up to you, but the main things that need to be answered are: is this life changing money, what was the goal when you placed the wager, and if the wager loses with you sweating, are you gonna seriously regret not hedging?
