Maybe... Pulisic shouldn't be burnt at the stake...
The reaction to the defeat by Belgium has been fascinating, from an outsider's perspective, especially the focus on Pulisic. Maybe it's the individualist cultural aspect in sport, but he's hyped up so much, and then shot down so harshly (with a lot ignoring how even if Pulisic didn't play incredibly, the loss to Belgium was very much a collective flop)
@grahamruthven In the last game he had 11 turnovers in the first half, more than any other player in the field. Instead of looking and becoming more determined, he wilted and produced nothing. That’s not how leaders / best players act. That is 100% about his character. Seems justified.
@USMNTOtaku No Pulisic? Also, Matai Akinmboni is 19, 6ft 3in, left footed CB and already at Bournemouth. If Chris Brady is still on the team, we have not done a good job developing and stealing goalies like Slonina, De Marzi, and Prescott.
@AlexiLalas The same system creates a strong women’s team. Most of them come through college soccer. If the men come through the same system, why can’t they be as successful? Answer: boys soccer does not attract the best athletes, girls youth soccer does. I’m a youth soccer coach, I see it.
@usmntonly@TaylorTwellman Some say Pulisic doesn’t want to be that guy, I say he is incapable of being that guy. Too mentally weak. Everything to play for in final game and he wilted. He’s 27. It’s not going to happen. Bring on Mathis Albert, Cavan, and the next generation. At least they have a backbone.
@RepRaskin lies, lies, and more lies.
fact is, Kimmel's ratings were tanking and his CK comments were the final straw for many local affiliates in more conservative areas. they asked him to apologize but the little spoiled brat would not do it.
chart = good business decision
@mariashriver I'll go first. Here is the truth of why Kimmel was fired. His ratings were tanking and he was too polarizing. His CK comments were the final straw for many affiliates. He was no longer worth the $$$ or trouble. And that is the truth.
