@jt1537 @AlexC_NJD His hockey IQ seems to be his downfall, that’s something you may or may not be able to help him improve on. But he definitely has a lot of attributes you can’t teach- size/physicality, speed, great hands/shot. He has some positive traits if you can coach the rest.

@jp_gambatese Think they’d be better off trying to acquire Merchenko or Knies, both are younger and bigger which would compliment Jack/Bratt better. Not using the first rounder Friday as part of a package feels like a mistake, but still have other assets they can use, like the Nemec return.

@jp_gambatese Depth scoring is already a concern, can’t forget about that in pursuit of filling a different need. Losing a great 3rd line wing, and having to pay probably $14M AAV for Robertson, will leave an enormous void in the bottom 6 that’s already not good.
