Commanders schedule musings Part 11: The Redskins will travel to Minnesota the weekend after Christmas on either Sat/Sun. If the game is played on Sat the 26th it will mark the exact 39th anniversary of the Redskins rallying to beat the Vikings 27-24 at the Metrodome in a pivotal moment for the 87 team. Jay Schroeder was struggling badly and was pulled midway through 3rd in favor of Doug Williams. #17 rallied the team to victory and Joe Gibbs named him starter entering playoffs. The teams would meet a few weeks later in the NFC Championship Game at RFK.
