By blocking the Women’s Reservation Bill, the Congress-led opposition has denied India a historic step toward women’s empowerment. This is not just political obstruction, it is a betrayal of millions of women who deserve equal voice and rightful representation in Parliament. The nation will remember.

By defeating the Delimitation and Constitutional Amendment Bill, the opposition parties have done a great disservice to the Nation.

With the freeze under Article 81 set to end after the first Census conducted post 2026, the forthcoming census exercise will reset seat distribution purely on population, potentially leading to a steep decline in representation for Southern, North-Eastern, and smaller states.

The NDA’s proposal was a sincere effort to preserve federal balance, protect the voice of Southern, North-Eastern, and smaller states, and ensure 33% representation for women. It recognised that states which have performed well on key development indicators should not be penalised in the democratic structure.

It is unfortunate that political agendas have prevailed over long term national interest. Those celebrating this outcome must introspect, we have lost an opportunity to secure a fair and constitutional safeguard for rightful representation.

Standing in solidarity with women in Nidadavole, East Godavari district, I joined a protest against the opposition’s obstruction of the Women’s Reservation Bill, an action that runs counter to the very spirit of inclusive democracy. This deliberate stalling has denied women their rightful place in leadership within our legislative bodies and deprived the nation of a historic opportunity to advance equality and representation.

I thank the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Hon’ble Shri Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, for approving the Rajahmundry (Nidadavolu) – Visakhapatnam (Duvvada) 3rd and 4th Line project.

This transformative project, including a 4.3 km rail bridge over the Godavari River, will significantly ease congestion and improve travel time.

It will enhance connectivity for our people across the region, benefit passengers, and boost freight movement.

It will also provide better access for devotees to key spiritual destinations such as Annavaram, Antarvedi, and Draksharamam, while supporting industrial growth and port-led development.

Another step towards Swarna Andhra and a Viksit Bharat.

తూర్పుగోదావరి జిల్లా నిడదవోలులో ‘స్వర్ణాంధ్ర–స్వచ్ఛాంధ్ర’లో పాల్గొన్నాను. ప్రతీ నెలా 3వ శనివారం స్వచ్ఛాంధ్ర కోసం ఉద్యమంలా పని చేస్తున్నాం. ‘జలధార-జలహారతి’ థీమ్‌తో ఈ నెల కార్యక్రమాన్ని నిర్వహించాం. ఈ సందర్భంగా స్వచ్ఛ రథాలను ప్రారంభించి, పలు అభివృద్ధి పనులకు శ్రీకారం చుట్టాను. స్వచ్ఛాంధ్ర స్టాళ్లను సందర్శించి ప్రజలతో మాట్లాడాను. మాలకోడు చెరువు పునరుద్ధరణ, కంపోస్టింగ్ విధానాలపై నిపుణులు, మహిళలతో చర్చించాను. చెత్త నుంచి సంపద తయారీతో స్వయం సహాయక సంఘాలు ఆదాయాన్ని పొందడం స్ఫూర్తిదాయకం. స్థానికుల సమస్యలు, వారి కష్ట సుఖాలు తెలుసుకుని, శాశ్వత పరిష్కారానికి అధికారులకు పలు సూచనలు చేశాను.
